Gov. Ralph Northam has ordered that the U.S. and Virginia flags be flown at half-staff over the state Capitol and throughout the Commonwealth in respect and memory of former U.S. Representative John David Digell, Jr.
Northam ordered that the flags be lowered until sunset Saturday.
