There are several options for students to resolve disability-related concerns, complaints, or issues. The Office of Educational Accessibility (OEA) is committed to ensuring that °¼Í¹ÊÓÆµ is accessible and inclusive to students. Further, the OEA is committed to a fair process for the resolution of complaints related to disability-related issues according to °¼Í¹ÊÓÆµ's Policy #4500: Accommodations for Students with Disabilities.

Informal Complaint Procedures
- Students are encouraged to discuss their concerns with their OEA Student Support Specialist, who will attempt to resolve the issues by assisting the student, e.g., by discussing issues or concerns with the instructor, department or program.
- Students are not required to report concerns to the individual who is believed to be responsible for the denial of equal opportunity, discrimination, or harassment.

- If the matter is still not resolved or if you disagree with a decision by your OEA Student Support Specialist regarding accommodations, the first line of appeal is by meeting with OEAs Director.
- To file an informal complaint related to academic accommodations with the OEA Director, students should submit the following information in writing via email to the Director of OEA:
- Name, address, contact information of complainant
- Date(s) of alleged incident
- Parties involved
- Witnesses (if applicable)
- Specific description of allegation(s) of discrimination and impact of alleged incident on the learning environment at the UniversityÌý
- OEA will review all informal complaints within ten (10) business days of receipt of complaint.

- To file an informal complaint related to academic accommodations with the OEA Director, students should submit the following information in writing via email to the Director of OEA:
- Students are encouraged to participate in the informal complaint process to timely and efficiently resolve their concerns. However, participation in the process is voluntary, and students are not required to submit an informal complaint to the Director of OEA before seeking assistance from the University’s ADA Coordinator, or resolution with the University’s Office of Talent Management and Culture or the state or federal agency authorized to accept complaints
Alternative or Formal Resolution with the University’s Office of Talent Management and Culture
- If a student with a documented disability believes that they have not been provided with the services to which they are entitled or they have been the victim of retaliation, the student should direct their complaint to the Office of Talent Management and Culture
- The student may need to provide some documentation of the disability to review the claim of retaliation, the nature of the discrimination, and any other information deemed relevant. The Section 504/ADA Coordinator will then attempt to reach an agreement through the alternative resolution process. The decision of the Section 504/ADA Coordinator is final.

Students who believe they have been discriminated against may also file a complaint with the or with the at the federal level.
